The Platform
This portfolio template is really easy to customise as it’s built in Squarespace 7.1. This version of Squarespace is easy to learn if you’re not a web designer, so you don’t need to rely on a web developer every time you need to update your website.
The Portfolio
You can easily add a new project by duplicating any of the template project pages. Edit the template and publish your project once you’re ready to share it.
A pre-built filter allows you to categorise your portfolio, making it faster for your site visitors to find the content they’re looking for. I’ve created the template with some suggested categories, but you can change these to fit the type of work you create.
The Looks
Oh, you noticed that eye-catching colour, did you? Red is so classic. A gender-neutral favourite that will never go out of style.
Of course, you can customise the template’s colour palette to your own brand colours. Just pretty please be mindful of accessibility and be supportive of those who view the world differently to you. You can use this free online tool ↗ to check your colour contrast. Aim to hit at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio.

It has cool hover effects. I trust you and your site visitors will get as much fun out of these as I’ve had building them 😁! The code is added into the template for you—no need to install.
Overall, I’ve kept to a light amount of CSS code to avoid bloating while giving the site a more distinct look.
Plus, less code means Moulin only requires a Personal Squarespace plan, unlike most premium Squarespace templates that you can buy. So you can save more of your hard-earned money! 💰🐷

The Name
In case you were wondering, the colour came first. And the name came to me in a lightbulb moment, although I’m not proclaiming to be a genius because I think it’s pretty obvious how the template got its name 😅. The venue or the movie? Both 😃. Now sing it with me! Roooxanne!
