I specialise in designing Squarespace websites for creatives pursuing careers in film, television and live performance, whether they’re in front of an audience or behind-the-scenes.

Why this niche? Well, besides being a Squarespace web designer, I’m also a film director and script supervisor, with a sister who’s an actor and theatre-maker.

I live in Aotearoa, New Zealand but work with cast and crew all around the world. (And yup, I’m a big LOTR fan—which can not be said of every Kiwi. Madness, I know.)

Does your website feel like your greatest liability?

You’ve made a big investment with your time (and possibly finances) learning Squarespace to build and launch your website. But that was several years ago…

Today, your portfolio is out-of-date, you think you might be losing out on bigger jobs, and you’ve lost count of the number of sites that use the exact same free Squarespace template as you.

Now, whenever you give out your website link to producers or potential collaborators, that great feeling you originally had has been replaced by a self-conscious little voice in your head that pipes, “You haven’t updated your portfolio in 2 years!”

But you don’t have the time to do it.

Or maybe, despite knowing what updates your site desperately needs, you don’t have the Squarespace expertise or design skills to execute your vision.

Here’s where help comes in…

NOT EVERYONE NEEDS THE WHOLE SHEBANG CUSTOM WEBSITE EXPERIENCE

Sometimes all you need is a day of personalised website support

WHAT’S IN A DESIGN DAY?

SUPERPIXEL FLEXES
TO FIT YOUR NEEDS

Before your Design Day, I’ll work with you to turn your vision and ideas into a practical to-do list in order of priority.

A to-do list might include:

  • Do a designer pass over a DIY website + launch it

  • Transfer your site from WordPress / Squarespace 7.1

  • Custom coding for style tweaks / custom fonts / special features

  • Integrate a CRM / scheduling app

  • Design a blog / portfolio / events / shop page

  • Optimise + add new content

  • Design + apply a new colour palette / fonts

Your investment covers my time, unlike our custom website service, which covers deliverables. We’ll create your priority list based on what I believe I can fit into your session.

Then fuelled by adrenaline and coffee, I work at speed on the day down your to-do list with the goal of ticking it all off—or at least 95% of it.

(Woah, is that a typing cat? No, it’s Tem BTS on a Superpx Day)

BY THE END OF OUR SESSION, YOU’LL COME AWAY WITH

the satisfaction of finally crossing your website off your to-do list (yay)

FAQ

  • No worries. I take listening to your needs seriously. If I feel your project fits into a longer (or shorter) session, I’ll advise you, and you get to make the final call. We can limit the scope of work or extend your project to the next day.

  • Yes. Payment can either be made in full when you book OR split into two:

    • 50% due when you book, and

    • 50% due the day before your Design Day

  • Absolutely—if we’re in different timezones, we can work out a way to maximise the time we’re mutually awake.

  • While you don't need to block out your diary, you should keep your booking date non-busy. I'll be expecting to hear back from you quickly when I need to ask for clarification or request your feedback. Therefore, it'd be great if you are on / near to your computer during the day, so you can review your website as needed.

  • Ideally, yes, as it eliminates any distractions for me in-between. However, days can also be within the same week.

  • Design Days are ideal for people who can make decisions quickly or have a good idea of what they want, as we will be working fast and won’t have much time to explore design options.

For clients who want more customisations, time to explore options and/or give feedback, then I recommend my 2–3 weeks custom website service.
